Meet Louisa
Louisa Story is a sophomore in high school and a student filmmaker who’s most drawn to the behind-the-scenes process—especially editing and camera work. She has studied storytelling and film production through a pre-college program at SCAD and the National Student Leadership Conference at UCLA, and she founded the Critically Acclaimed Film Club at her school to share her love of cinema with other students.
At school, Louisa has taken Foundations of Art, History of Film 1, Introduction to Broadcast Media Production, Broadcast Media and Video Production 2, Digital Photography, Photography 1, and Photography 2.
Louisa has experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and enjoys shaping a story through pacing, sound, and the small details that bring a scene to life. Inspired by both comedy and dramatic cinematic moments, she’s always looking for ways to make a film connect with an audience.
Louisa also has experience using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, developing both black and white and color film, and printing black and white film in the darkroom. She loves still photography and learning the power of composition and the inner workings of a camera.
Louisa is currently seeking creative opportunities, internships, and on-set experience that will allow her to learn, collaborate, and grow as a visual storyteller. She knows she has a lot to learn and is excited about the opportunities to work alongside people who can teach her on the job, allowing her to contribute in real ways. One day, she hopes to build a career that brings the magic of film to people around the world.
